| Locate a Wildlife Rehabilitator Have you found an orphaned or injured wild animal? Need to find the nearest wildlife rehabilitator?
Ministry of Natural Resources
The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) in Ontario, now has an online list of all Authorized Wildlife Custodians in the province (those who have given their permission to be listed) Click here to access that information.

Be advised that a number of other wildlife websites are springing up with names that might lead you into thinking they have the definitive list of wildlife custodians on them. Those sites are not sanctioned by the MNR nor does the information they carry mean that those folks listed actually are licensed to provide care for wildlife. The ONLY sanctioned list is the one on the MNR's website above. IF you choose someone from a list that you find online, do yourself a favour and verify that the person you are taking that animal to, or being 'told' to take it to is legally licensed to admit and care for it and that includes registered foster care givers as well. Call your local district MNR office, ask for the Senior Wildlife in Captivity Specialist and confirm with them directly that the individual IS legally entitled to rehabilitate that wild animal you have found. It takes specialized training to do this and you don't want that animal to be someone's online experiment in how to rehab wildlife. The wild animal in distress deserves better than that. So do you.
